Q: Which countries is Opla available in?

Opla is available in 6 countries: France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal. ⚠️ In Portugal, only the mainland is served. The islands are not covered by our carrier: we don't deliver to, or ship from, the Azores or Madeira. If your delivery address — or the address where you drop off your parcels as a seller — is on these islands, you can't buy or sell on Opla for now.

Q: Why is my account suspended, and how do I contest it?

An account may be temporarily suspended if there is a suspicion that our terms (payment, safety, behavior) haven't been respected. ⚠️ Important: Opla will never ask you to "verify" your account by entering your bank details via a link — that kind of message is a scam. Q: Can I sign up as a professional on Opla?

It depends on your activity. <ul> <li>You sell your own personal items, occasionally → you can stay on a standard (individual) account: there's no obligation to go professional.</li> <li>You carry out a professional selling activity (for example: buying to resell, regular or high-volume sales, a commercial activity) → you must register as a professional. What delivery options are available?

Accepted Answer

The delivery method depends on the seller and on your country. You'll see the available options and their prices at checkout.

To a pickup point: collect your parcel from a point near you.
To your home: delivered straight to your address, when the seller offers it.

The carrier depends on your country: Mondial Relay in France, InPost in Spain and Portugal.

As a seller, you have no delivery options to set up — Opla handles it. Once your item sells, you receive the shipping label directly (in the app, by email and in the conversation with the buyer). Print it, stick it on the parcel and drop it off at a pickup point within 5 days.

📍 Portugal: we only serve the mainland. No pickup points in the Azores or Madeira — a delivery or drop-off address on these islands can't be used to buy or sell.

How do I see the app in my language (French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, English)?

Accepted Answer

Good news: language handling has been fixed in the latest version of the app. So first, make sure you update Opla (App Store / Google Play) — Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese are only available on recent versions.

By default, the app automatically uses your phone's language. Opla is available in French, English, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese.

To choose the language manually:

If you're not logged in: a large language button is available on the welcome / login screen.
Once logged in: go to your profile → Edit my profile → Language (this also updates the language of your emails).

Your choice is saved and applies immediately. If the language still doesn't change after updating, contact us.
