Reporting or blocking a member
Reporting and blocking are two different things: reporting alerts our moderation team, blocking simply cuts contact between the two of you.
Report a member or a listing
If a member behaves inappropriately (insults, threats, breaking the rules) or if a listing is problematic, you can report it.
How to do it: from the app or the website, go to the listing page or the member's profile, then tap the flag icon 🚩 to report.
Our team reviews every report and takes the necessary action (warning, account block). Reporting does not block the person: if you no longer want them to contact you, block them as well.
⚠️ For scams and phishing attempts, see the dedicated article "Recognising and reporting a scam or phishing".
Block a member
Available in the app and on the website, from a listing page, the member's profile or your conversation ("Details" button): choose Block.
What changes:
- blocking is mutual: no more messages in either direction;
- neither of you can buy from or make offers to the other;
- your existing conversations stay readable, but you can no longer write in them;
- that person no longer appears in your For you feed, nor in member search.
Their listings can still show up in article search — but you can no longer buy from them: the order is refused with a message reminding you why.
The blocked person gets no notification. They only find out if they try to message you or buy something from you.
An order already paid for carries on as normal: tracking and automatic messages still come through. Blocking cuts contact, never a transaction in progress.
Unblock
My account → Blocked people → Unblock. You can message and buy from each other again. This list only contains the people you blocked.
💡 If you can't complete a report, message us here in the help chat with the username concerned.
