Which items are banned from sale?
Items that are illegal, counterfeit or dangerous are banned, as are items that fit no category and items that don't fit in a locker. In practice, Opla refuses:
- Regulated products: e-cigarettes and puff bars, tobacco and shishas/hookahs, alcohol (including sealed or collector bottles), medication, CBD.
- Weapons and illicit content: weapons, knives and replicas, drugs, firecrackers and smoke bombs, hate symbols.
- Banknotes and currency: banknotes, coins, prop money, framed or painted banknotes.
- Copies: any item presented as a "replica", a "copy" or "[brand]-style".
- SHEIN and TEMU, even when genuine.
- These luxury brands, even when genuine, including their perfume, make-up and skincare: Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Saint Laurent (YSL), Balenciaga, Fendi, Goyard, Givenchy, Bottega Veneta, Loewe, Celine, Burberry, Balmain, Christian Louboutin, Moncler, Canada Goose, Rolex, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, Hublot, Breitling, Panerai, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille, Omega. Other high-end brands are accepted, for example Miu Miu, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Tiffany & Co., Tom Ford, Valentino, Chloé, Lanvin.
- The most counterfeited items, even when genuine: Birkenstock, the Royal Pop watch (Audemars Piguet × Swatch), iPhone, AirPods, Apple Watch, PlayStation consoles and controllers. These are the most often counterfeited devices, and on Opla the ones that led to the most disputes (locked or faulty device, empty parcel): so we prefer not to accept them, even when genuine. Other devices (iPad, computers, other smartphones, earbuds from other brands with a design unlike AirPods, such as Galaxy Buds, JBL, Sony or Bose) are still accepted.
- "Opla" products: Opla cards or vouchers, Opla PRO access, resold accounts or boosts.
Underwear and lingerie: accepted if clean and in good condition. Photos must not be suggestive: a sexual photo is refused.
Everything else is accepted, as long as the item fits a category and fits in a locker.
