Can I sign up as a professional on Opla?
It depends on your activity.
- You sell your own personal items, occasionally → you can stay on a standard (individual) account: there's no obligation to go professional.
- You carry out a professional selling activity (for example: buying to resell, regular or high-volume sales, a commercial activity) → you must register as a professional. Running a professional activity from an individual account isn't allowed.
The professional account is a paid subscription that also brings:
- greater visibility for your items,
- the advantages reserved for pros on offers,
- invoices generated for your sales.
A pro account sells the same item categories as an individual account: no category is reserved for professionals, and none is closed to them. A professional seller can also sell new items.
You'll find the details on the Become a pro page. Your professional details (including your SIRET) are entered when you sign up.
Already have an individual account? No need to create a new one: that same account becomes a pro account. In the app, go to the Profile tab → Become a Pro (or straight to opla.co/pro). If the page asks you to, log in with the same account: the form shows the email address of the account being upgraded. Choose your plan, then fill in your business profile: company name, legal form, SIREN or SIRET (or your country's company number), registered office address, legal representative and at least one official document in PDF (for example a company registration extract). The subscription is added to your account: your listings, reviews and history are kept.
ℹ️ The DAC7 tax regulation applies to all sellers — individuals and professionals alike — above 30 sales or €2,000 in sales per year (see the dedicated article).
🔌 Do you run an online shop? The "Custom" Pro plan integrates your catalogue via API (Shopify today) — see the dedicated article on connecting a shop.
