# The Opla Community: what are points for?

The Community is where Opla members talk to each other: you can post, comment and react. You'll find it in the Messages tab, at the top, under the "Community" button.

Points are simply a participation indicator. You earn them when you publish a post, comment, reply to someone, react, vote in a poll, complete your profile or come back to the community. You lose them if you delete one of your posts, comments or reactions.

That's all they do: they don't unlock any discount, any boost or any reduced commission, and they have no effect on the visibility of your listings or on your balance. They only show your progress within the community.
