# How does consignment work?

**Consignment has stopped.** We have not been accepting new shipments since mid-July 2026, and the service will not reopen.

You can still sell on Opla yourself: you keep 100 % of the sale price, and the buyer pays the protection fee.

## I had sent clothes in: what happens to them?

Anything that sold was paid out to you as usual — nothing changes there.

Anything we did not manage to sell **is yours**, and we invite you to decide **right now** what you want done with it. Two options:

- **Leave them with us** — this is **free**. They go to one of our three partner charities, which pass them on to families nearby.
- **Have them sent back** — a single parcel for everything, to the pickup point of your choice. The price depends on the weight and **starts at €4.20** (France, pickup point; a little more from other countries); it is shown to you before you confirm anything.

You choose **item by item** what you take back and what you give away. Getting them back costs you nothing unless you ask for a return shipment.

## Where to make that choice

**In the app and on the website**, in the same place:

- **App**: your account → "Consignment". The "Get my clothes back" box is at the top of the page.
- **Website opla.co**: "My account" → your shipments (opla.co/send). The same box is there.

## Don't wait until January 2027

The old rule said unsold items could be recovered after 6 months — which, for a summer shipment, pushed the date out to January 2027. **That rule no longer applies.**

The service has stopped, so your clothes are available **today**. There is no deadline left to wait for: make your choice now, this is the best moment.
