# How do I run a live sale?

ℹ️ **Live sales have only just launched.** The rules below are today's: they are deliberately cautious while we see how the first sales go, and they will most likely change. This is not a final framework.

## Who can run a live sale?

Access is not granted case by case: it unlocks automatically as soon as your account meets **both conditions**, with nothing to request.

- **at least 15 followers**;
- **at least one completed sale** on Opla.

Once both are met, "My lives" becomes active in your profile. There is nothing to ask for and no one to contact.

In the meantime you can already **watch** other sellers' live sales and buy from them, in every country where Opla is available.

## Rehearsing: open to you right now

⚠️ **You do not need to be eligible to rehearse.** Rehearsal mode is open to everyone, including if you do not have your 15 followers yet: profile → "My lives" → the rehearsal card.

You run a fake live — fake items, fake viewers, fake sale. Nothing is broadcast, nothing is recorded, nobody sees you, your real items are untouched. It is the simplest way to learn the flow before you are entitled to it.

## 1. Schedule your sale

Profile → **My lives** → **Schedule a sale**. You name the sale, pick the slot and the time spent on each item (15, 30, 45 or 60 seconds — 30 by default).

- The slot must be **at least 30 minutes ahead**, and at most 60 days later.
- **One sale per day.** If you already have one planned that day, you must cancel it or pick another day.
- You can have **5 scheduled sales** open at once, at most.

⚠️ Your followers are notified **one hour before**, then again when you go on air. Make sure you are genuinely available at that time: a cancelled sale disappoints once and for all.

## 2. Prepare your selection

Pick the items you will present, among those online and approved, and order them.

⚠️ **You need at least 5 items to go on air.** Below that, the button refuses to start.

Items leave the catalogue as soon as you add them — not just during the live — so nobody can buy them elsewhere in the meantime. Lay them out for real too, in the same order, next to you.

## 3. On the day

You can go on air **from 10 minutes before your slot**, no earlier: your followers were told a time. The camera opens in preview so you can frame yourself without anyone seeing you.

- Plug your phone in: a live drains a battery.
- Face a window or a lamp.
- Prop the phone at chest height: both your hands will be holding items.
- Turn on "Do not disturb". An incoming call cuts the broadcast.

## 4. During the sale

You present **one item at a time**. The pinned item is the only one buyable at that moment. Nothing is reserved: **first to pay wins**.

A button drops the price live **in 2 € steps**, never going below **30 % of the starting price**. That is often what triggers the sale.

⚠️ **A live lasts 2 hours at most**, then it stops on its own. Plan your queue accordingly.

⚠️ If you leave the app, the broadcast stops. You have **3 minutes** to come back; beyond that, the sale ends.

## 5. Afterwards

Unsold items return automatically to your wardrobe, ready for a next sale. Nothing is lost, nothing is deleted.

## What a live sale costs you

⚠️ **A sale made during a live carries an 8 % commission on the item price.** That is the only difference from an ordinary sale, where you keep 100 % of the price.

The commission is taken **when the money reaches your wallet**, not at payment: a cancelled order is never commissioned. An invoice is issued to you right after.

For the buyer nothing changes: the same Opla protection fee (5 % + €0.70) as on any order, and the money reaches your wallet once the parcel has been received and accepted.
