# How do I discount one item or my whole shop?

Opla gives you **two discount tools, both completely free**, to give your sales a push. In both cases the discount lasts **5 days**, the crossed-out price appears automatically on your listings, and your original prices come back on their own at the end.

The available tiers are **-10%, -20%, -30%, -40% and -50%**.

## 1. A discount on a single item

From **"My items"**, open the menu for the item, then choose **"Add a discount"**.

Everyone who has favourited that item gets a notification.

## 2. A sale across your whole shop

From **"My items"**, choose **"Shop sale"**.

A few things to know:

- The sale applies to the items **on sale at the moment you launch it**. Listings added afterwards are not picked up, and items already discounted are left untouched.
- Your **followers get a notification**, so it is worth launching once your shop is already well stocked.
- It is limited to **once every 30 days**. The screen tells you when the next one will be possible.

## Ending a discount early

Open the item's menu, then **"Stop the discount"**: the item goes straight back to its original price.

This also works for an item included in a shop sale — it leaves the sale, and the rest of your sale carries on.

> **To end everything at once:** go to the **opla.co** website, under **My account → Shop sale**, and click **"Stop the shop sale"**. All your items go back to their original prices straight away.

> That button is not in the mobile app yet — it is coming soon. In the meantime, from the app, you can remove items one by one or let the sale run out after 5 days.

## If you change a price during the sale

No problem: **your new price is the one that is kept**. It will not be replaced by the old one when the discount ends.

## Not to be confused with

- A **boost** pushes your item up in search results without touching the price. That is a paid service.
- A **bundle discount** (a lower price when a buyer takes several items) does not exist on Opla yet.
