# Can I sign up as a professional on Opla?

It depends on your activity.

- **You sell your own personal items, occasionally** → you can stay on a **standard (individual) account**: there's no obligation to go professional.
- **You carry out a professional selling activity** (for example: buying to resell, regular or high-volume sales, a commercial activity) → you **must register as a professional**. Running a professional activity from an individual account isn't allowed.

The **professional account** is a paid subscription that also brings:
- greater visibility for your items,
- the advantages reserved for pros on offers,
- invoices generated for your sales.

ℹ️ The **DAC7** tax regulation applies to **all sellers — individuals and professionals alike —** above 30 sales or €2,000 in sales per year (see the dedicated article).
