# Am I protected as a buyer?

Yes. That's what the **Opla protection fee** paid at checkout is for: it amounts to **5% of the item price + €0.70**. If the seller doesn't ship your order, or if the item doesn't match the description, you can **open a dispute within 48h of receiving** the parcel, directly from the app. While the dispute is ongoing, the payment stays secured by Opla and is not released to the seller; if the dispute is justified, you are **refunded to your wallet**.

The protection also covers **lost or damaged parcels** during transit.
